This project evolved from in Rerum Natura in 2011, following on the research into botanical names and families.
This time I was unraveling the commonalities between plants in their various family groups and tried to capture the characteristics that made that particular plant what and who it was.
Again, it was a fascinating project as I got up very close and personal to some key plants within each family or genus and explored what, in my own personal view, made it so.
The resulting body of work was made into a photo book and the 30-odd images exhibited and produced as fine art prints and greeting cards. Just a few of those images appear here:
