I am an artist involved with the NHS Level Up project in the north west, helping those with mental health issues through creativity and have just completed delivering a series of workshops as part of the Chrysalis Project, on behalf of Bluestreak Arts in Preston. I have previously facilitated two series of Creative Skills photography workshops for Bluestreak, working with people who suffer from mental health issues and have also worked with TAG (The Artists Group) on the Making Sense project in Liverpool, delivering a session for people suffering brain injuries.
I welcome enquiries for any arts in healthcare projects so please do contact me.
Qualified, award-winning professional photographer and BIPP Assessor available for talks, workshops or presentations.
Subjects can include:
‘Seeing Creatively’ – how to look beyond what is there and try to ’see’ a different interpretation of the subject and then capture the image. Ideal for those interested in being more creative in their photography regardless of subject matter
‘Creative Nature Photography’ – how to take images of nature beyond the normal ‘reference shot’. Similar to ‘Seeing Creatively’ but concentrates on nature, flowers and wildlife. Ideal for any audience whether or not they are photographers
‘Creative Digital Photography’ – how to creatively process digital images to reveal their hidden depths and make them really come alive without ‘manipulation’. Suitable for audiences wanting to take their image making to the next level.
‘Preparing for Qualification’ – how to evaluate your work and prepare a panel for submission to the BIPP or other photographic association. I am a BIPP trained Assessor so this is ideal for photographers thinking of working towards a recognised qualification.
Other topics can also be covered or tailored for a specific audience.
