Abstracts of NatureThese 2-hour hands-on workshop sessions should appeal to any visual artist seeking to learn how to photograph their own art work and are divided into distinct topic areas.
You will find out how to photograph 2D and 3D art works, the equipment needed, how to make effective use of lighting, how to create a digital workflow and what makes a good fine art print. Participants should bring their cameras with them.
In the first session Denise will give an overview of the equipment needed to get the best results, what settings to use, how to make use of depth of field, composition and lighting techniques.
In this session you will learn how to create a digital workflow, post processing tips and how to generate a good fine art print.
In both sessions, bring along a small piece of your own artwork and have a go at photographing it yourself with your own camera, making use of the studio lighting and facilities. Denise will be on hand to provide advice and in the second session participants will take away a print of their artwork.
Basic photography and computer skills will be required. Those new to digital photography, unfamiliar with the settings or who are not confident in using their camera are advised to take the Introductory course first.
