Bio

Denise Swanson has been a professional photographic artist for almost 10 years after rediscovering a love of photography after a brain injury required a career change and a different outlook.

With influence from a background of 20 years in graphic design and marketing, Denise's images have developed a unique artistic style that have earned numerous awards and recognition. Her images have been used as book and CD covers and been published in various journals worldwide whilst fine art prints have been bought by collectors in the UK, Europe and the United States.

Since gaining an MA in Fine Art, Denise has been awarded a Fellowship by the British Institute of Professional Photography and has become an Approved Assessor.  She gives talks and runs workshops and training courses on fine art photography.

In addition to her fine art photography, Denise provides freelance design and creative services to a small number of clients and is Creative Director for an Internet company. She is also a current member of the Board of Directors of the British Institute of Professional Photography and represents the BIPP on the British Photographic Council.
