Two Images Selected for Astley Open

A good start to the Spring, both pictures I submitted to the first Astley Open Exhibition, have been selected for inclusion in the final exhibition. Due to some restoration work on Astley Hall, the exhibition will now open on Good Friday, April 6th and run all over the Easter weekend and then on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays until May. Final judging for the prizes takes place at the end of April.

As this is the first time such an exhibition has been held in Chorley, in Lancashire and is where I am based so I am really pleased to have work selected. There are no art galleries in the town at present so I really hope this exhibition will be well attended and encourage more arts events and activities in the area. Chorley is a nice town - I used to work next door to Astley Park, where Astley Hall is located. If you are in or near the area, I do hope you will attend.
